Takalani Sigama

Takalani has spent more than 10 years of her life in occupational health and safety in the construction industry. She has worked for 1 of the big five construction companies for a period of 12 years and her responsibilities were ensuring that the Health, Safety and Environmental management systems were implemented and maintained on construction sites. She managed a team of Construction Health and Safety Officers ranging from 10 to 30 depending on the number of projects running at the time. She is well trained in SHEQ and in enforcing compliance including complying with the OHS Act, National Environmental Management Act,construction regulation and other related regulations and standards. She is well experienced and trained in complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act & Construction Regulations. She was involved in incidents/ accidents investigations ranging from minor to major including fatalities, recorded the stats and reporting section 24 (reportable)incidents to the Department of Labour. She has worked with both principal contractors and sub contactors, done site inductions for construction workers, risk assessments, site inspections and audit reports as well as managing asbestos products and their disposal. Takalani has 10 years managerial experience and some of her strength include chairing and conducting meetings; troubleshooting and problem solving; strong delegating abilities; attending issues around discipline and grievance; training, development and coaching; general office administration and has good verbal and written abilities. She holds a B-Tech degree in Quality, B- Tech in Environmental Health and Program in Safety Management certificate. She has worked on some of the big projects like:

Reason Hove

Reason has more than 17 years’ experience in occupational health and safety in the construction industry. He has represented clients like, Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development (GDID) by providing Construction SHE consultancy on different projects, approve or fail contractor safety files, conduct site inspections and audits on behalf of client as well as compiling inspection and audit reports for client and project management team. He managed and ensured compliance with HSE-related legal requirements (including Occupational Health & Safety Act, the COID Act, National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) Facilitated the conduction of environmental impacts and aspect assessment by external company and worked with team to close non-compliances raised in the report. Provided coaching and leadership support to site management team and line managers in order to achieve set HSE objectives & targets and to ensure HSE becomes/remains a line management responsibility. He holds Honours BA Environmental Management, B-Tech Quality Management and B-Tech Safety Management and also worked on the following projects:
